Nepal is one of the blessed country in culture and tradition.It has a unique and richest cultures in the world.It is the multi-cultural nation and it is the country of different ethnic groups.And each ethnic groups  has their  own tradition of lifestyle,clothing ,food languages,religion and occupations.People's behaviour are guided by their culture and tradition.Nepalese Culture consist of the codes of  manner,languages,dresses,rituals norms and system of behaviour. 

People from different culture and tradition follow different traditions.As we found cultural diversification they also have diversity in their dresses.People with different culture wear different dresses.Like as Newar people wear their own traditional dress which is called as Haku patasi,where as Magar,Gurung,Tharu, Sherpa have their own traditional dress.Peoples identity is identify by their dresses.People respect each others tradition, culture and share their cultural ideas,views and vallues without violeting each other's cultural behaviour.Sometimes its difficult to understand each ohters religion,culture and tradition as people with different culture are living in same society.

Newari Dress

Traditional Dress of Newar Community

Women of newari culture wear the traditional dress called Hakku Potashi.Its a black sari with red border and home made clothe which is called putu lung.And white patuka around the waist and a cotton over the cloth should be wear.And men of newar community wear Daura Suruwal with waist coat accompanied by black cap(topi).Now  we can find different fashionable newari dresses available in market which are modified in its style.

Traditional Limbu ladies wore sim (it is 7-yard

long material wrapped as a skirt) with a cholo, a shirt that's product of domestically hand-woven national capital material. Phaee (a long cloth) is wrapped round the waist to tie the sim. They continually coated their heads with thakhumya (a massive scarf) as an adjunct. They fair-haired sporting massive gold and silver ornaments. Limbu ladies historically wore a try of Nesse (a massive flat designed gold earrings), a gold mundri as a hoop, and a dhungri, a stud nose ornament. On their hands, Limbu ladies wore gold or silver bangles. Silver kalli were worn as anklets.

Traditional Sherpa Dress

  

Traditional Sherpa Cloth resembles the cloth of Tibetans. Men wear Chhuba and a long sleeve shirt called tetung.Traditional chhuba were made from thick home made wool, or a variant called lokpa which is made from sheepskin.Traditionally women wear a long-sleeved floor length thick woolen dress called tongkok with a sleevless variation called engi over the blouse(raatuk).These dress are worn with colourful striped apron.Sherpa Clothing resembles Tibetan Clothing.But now in this modernisation many sherpa alsi wear ready-made western clothes, Traditional Sherpa Dress.

Traditionally,Tharu women wear bright and colourful blouse and a sari. Sari is worn around the waist in a similar manner to skirt. Blouses are embroidered with mirrors, coins and pompons. Men wear loincloth called lungi and a vest.During special occassions and competition completely different jewels made of gold and silver are worn on varied elements of the body. the various sorts of ornaments worn by THARU girls are "Nathiya" on the nose, "Kanphul" within the ear, "Hansuli" and "Kanthi" on the neck, "Matha" on the articulatio plana, "Tadia" on the elbow,"Tikuli" on the forehead and "Upairi" on their feet. Gurung Dress

 Gurungs traditional dress includes a short blousetied across the front and a short skirt of several yards of white cotton material wrapped around the waist and held as if a wide belt.Women of gurung community wear a cotton or velveteen blouse tied at the front, and a sari of printed material usually a dark reddish color. Their ornaments include gold and coral necklaces, gold earrings and nose rings and bangles.Whereas men were a loincloth which is called Kachhad and a short vest and a dhaka topi.
